GUWAHATI: The Special Task Force in Assam carried out a meticulously planned raid on Friday evening in Beltola Bazar, under the jurisdiction of Basistha Police Station. The operation culminated in the interception of a Renault Kwid with the registration number AS 03 T 0423.

The execution of this operation resulted in the apprehension of Mr. Md. Deyarul Hoque, a 42-year-old individual identified as both the driver and a reputed habitual drug peddler. The seized items from the operation include 13 vials of suspected heroin, weighing a total of 16.9 grams, a cash amount of Rs. 5750, and 2 stolen mobile phones.

The Renault Kwid, alleged to have served as a conduit for these illicit activities, was confiscated along with the aforementioned items.

Hoque, with a known address at Dakhingaon, Kahilipara, under the care of Saijuddin Mullah, presently residing in Dispur, Guwahati, Kamrup (M). His permanent address is recorded as Vill-Barhad, PS-Hathauri, Dist: Muzaffarpur (Bihar). The individual’s father is identified as Khalil Hoque.
