Raid in coaching centre Global Edu Light owner's house

GUWAHATI: The police raided the Gitanagar residence of Bhargav Deka, owner of coaching centre Global Edu Light, on Friday in connection with the JEE (Mains) Exam scam and seized some documents, including a number of admit cards.

According to police sources, search is on for absconding Deka and the proxy candidate who could be an employee of an IT company. "The candidate himself, Neel Nakshatra, did admit the incident of proxy exam to one of his friends over telephone. We've the intercepted telephonic conversation with us. Other than Global Edu Light, BhargavDeka did have some other coaching centres earlier. We've approached the National Testing Agency to extend us help in the investigation of the JEE exam scam," a police source said.

The source further said that all those involved in the case would be brought to the book soon.
