Report Enquiry On 60-Year-Old Convict's Demise In GMCH

GUWAHATI: A life convict, Anil Hemrom (AC/3853), 60 years, S/O Late Matin Hemrom of village Mura, PS Bordumsa in the District of Changlang, Arunachal Pradesh, was admitted to GMCH on April 13, 2019 at New Building 5th Floor emergency ward and later shifted to ICU on April 15. However, Hemrom expired at GMCH on April 17, 2019 at 9.15 pm while undergoing treatment. As such, the District Magistrate of Kamrup (M) has entrusted Executive Magistrate ACS Jituraj Gogoi to cause an enquiry to figure out the circumstances leading to the death of the said convict Anil Hemrom and to submit her findings within 15 days on receipt of the order along with complete medical treatment record, health screening report, post mortem report, inquest report and visceral examination, to the NHRC/AHRC.
