Reshuffle in Assam Police Department

GUWAHATI: The Government of Assam has affected a reshuffle of posts in the Police Department. In this regard, the notification has been issued by Debaprasad Misra, Secretary (Home & Political Departments).

As per the notification, Pratap Sinha, Commandant of the 21st AP(IR)Bn., Katlichera, Hailakandi is posted as FRRO SP (Superintendent of Police), Jorhat/Golaghat/Karbi Anglong, HQ-Jorhat, with effect from the date of taking over charge, against the existing vacancy.

Sanjib Sekhar Roy, Commandant of 15th AP(IR)Bn, Eraligool, Karimganj is posted as FRRO SP, Silchar/Karimganj/Hailakandi/Dima Hasao, HQ-Silchar in place of Bedanta Prakash Borkakati.

Rup Kishore Handique Commandant, 25th AP (ONGC) Bn, Ligiripukhuri, Sivasagar is posted as the Commandant, 15th AP(IR)Bn, Eraligool, Karimganj.

Bedanta Prakash Borkakati, SP, FRRO, Silchar/Karimganj/Hailakandi/Dima Hasao, HQ-Silchar has been posted as SP, FRRO, Barpeta/Nalbari,

HQ-Barpeta.

Saurav Jyoti Saikia, Additional SP (HQ). Biswanath, is allowed to hold the charge post in the rank of SP/Comdt./DCP/AIGP; and, he is posted as SP (SB) (EZ), Guwahati.

Jayanta Sarathi Borah, Additional Superintendent of Police (HQ), Sivasagar, is allowed to hold the charge of post in the rank of SP/Comdt./DCP/AIGP and is posted as the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AP), Assam, Ulubari, Guwahati.

Hiranya Kumar Barman, Additional Superintendent of Police (S&I), Jorhat, is allowed to hold the charge post in the rank of SP/Comdt./DCP/AIGP and is posted as Commandant, 21stAP(IR)Bn, Katlichera, Hailakandi.
