GUWAHATI: The International Human Rights Council, Assam Board has welcomed the 'stringent' measures taken by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in the field of birth control. The Council has extended their full cooperation to the Chief Minister in creating awareness on birth control.
"The drastic steps he has taken in the field of birth control will make an unprecedented contribution to the development and holistic development of all ethnic groups in Assam. We urge all ethnic groups to lend a helping hand to the Chief Minister (CM) on this issue from a religious point of view. We seek the co-operation of the CM to work for the awareness of every village in every district of Assam for the successful implementation of this far-reaching initiative of birth control of the CM," stated Abdur Rajib, State President of International Human Rights Council.
