Robbery at Rukminigaon area in Guwahati city

GUWAHATI: A daylight robbery took place in the Rukminigaon area of the city on Friday, with motorcycle-borne robbers looted Rs 2 lakh from a person named Ghanakanta Das.

According to police sources, Das was walking out of the Rukminigaon branch of the State Bank of India (SBI) after withdrawing an amount of Rs 2 lakh when two motorcycle-borne miscreants snatched the bag from Das and fled from the spot. The entire incident was captured on CCTV camera.
