GUWAHATI: The AJP (Assam Jatiya Parishad) has submitted a memorandum to the SEBA chairman and Education Minister demanding to roll back the proposed decision to not include the Major Indian Language (MIL) paper in the HSLC (High School Leaving Certification Examination) examinations.
The memorandum was signed by AJP president Lurinjyoti Gogoi and general secretary Jagdish Bhuyan. The memorandum stated that including a MIL subject in the syllabus is compulsory by law. "If the MIL paper is excluded from the examinations then the students will feel that the subject is not important," the memorandum stated.
