Rs 6,01,560 seized, youth arrested in Tetelia by Assam Police

GUWAHATI: Joint efforts by Basistha Police, Gorchuk Police and Jalukbari police led to the recovery of Rs 6,01,560 from a youth – Rustum Ahmed – at Tetelia on Sunday. In their routine patrolling, Basistha police noticed two Pulsar bike-borne (AS25Q3318) youths going. The two youths soon fled the scene after seeing the police party. The patrolling party was able to arrest one of the two youths with the help of Gorchuk and Jalukbari Police from Tetelia. The police recovered Rs 6,01,560 from Rustum. The other youth, however, managed to escape. The police arrested Rustum and seized the cash and the bike. Investigation is on.
