Sadou Asom Akatrito Yuba Parishad condemns 'attack' on candidate of Raijor Dal

GUWAHATI: The Sadou Asom Akatrito Yuba Parishad (SAAYP) has condemned the alleged attack on Raijor Dal candidate Anup Saikia by Congress workers.

Saikia, who is a candidate from Bihpuria constituency and also former secretary of SAAYP was allegedly attacked on two separate occasions on Monday and Tuesday by Congress workers. SAAYP president Bidyut Kalita said that the Parishad will move to the police and Election Commission so that such incidents do not happen again.

The SAAYP also warned the persons who are engaged in violence against election candidates by stating that if such incidents are repeated in the future then there will be 'dangerous consequences' from the former's end.
