SBI, North East Circle officials felicitate Mirabai Chanu at Imphal

GUWAHATI: The State Bank of India (SBI), North East Circle felicitated Tokyo Olympics, 2020 silver medalist, Saikhom Mirabai Chanu at Imphal. In a ceremony held at Classic Hotel, Imphal she was felicitated by Lunkim Thangboi (General Manager-NW-II), SBI LHO Guwahati for her achievement in the ongoing Olympic games. She was presented a cheque of Rs 10 lakh as an accolade for her achievements and also an encouragement to other young upcoming sportspersons of the State as well as the country. Chanu's parents as well as her earlier coaches based in Manipur were also felicitated during the ceremony. Girindra Sharma, RM RBO Imphal and Hepuni Bismarck, AGM Imphal Branch also graced the occasion along with other SBI staff, stated a release.
