SCERT scam: Search continues at IAS Sewali Devi Sarma’s residence at Ahom Gaon

GUWAHATI: The Chief Ministers’ Special Vigilance Cell conducted a search operation at the IAS Sewali Devi Sarma’s residence at Ahom Gaon in Lokhra. During the search operation, sleuths took her along with them. According to a source, the CM’s SVC team also conducted a search operation at Sewali Devi Sarma’s younger daughter Bejeta Sarma’s residence. Bejeta is currently in judicial custody in Guwahati Central Jail.

It may be noted that both of them reside in the same apartment. Rajesh Kumar Joshi also resided in the same apartment where he was arrested earlier. He is the elder son-in-law of Sewali Devi.

All three accused, Sewali Devi Sarma, Rahul Amin, and Ajit Pal Singh, were apprehended from Ajmer and are currently in five-day custody in the CM’s SVC.
