SEBA to open portal over re-checking of answer scripts

GUWAHATI: The Secondary Education Board, Assam (SEBA) has notified that its online portal will be open from 6 am on June 10 till 5 pm on June 20 for receiving applications for re-checking of answer scripts and obtaining photocopy along with re-checking of answer scripts pertaining to the HSLC/AHM Examinations 2022.

A Notification issue by SEBA stated that candidates intending to get their evaluated Answer Scripts re-checked will have to apply through its online portal sebaonline.org and click on the link 'Apply for re-checking or photocopy with re-checking of answer scripts' along with necessary fees to be paid through online mode. The fee for re-checking of answer script will be Rs 350 per subject and fee for photocopy of answer script with re-checking will be Rs 550 per subject, and no application will be accepted without the processing fee.

The Notification further made it clear that re-checking of answer script will not mean re-evaluation of the answer scripts. Re-checking will entail re-totalling of marks awarded by the examiner; assessment of answer(s) which has/have been left out unevaluated; and correction of wrong entry of marks of any manner/nature.

The Notification further stated that the results of re-checking will be informed to the applicant through a Notification within 30 days from the last date of receipt of application. In case of any change, the mark sheet/certificates will be issued on submission of the original mark sheet/certificates in the SEBA's office through the head of the school concerned. No such mark sheet/certificates will be sent directly to school, candidate or through any other agency. The decision of the competent authority of SEBA will be final and binding on the candidate, the Notification stated.

Further, the Notification added the proviso that the candidate concerned will have to give an undertaking that the photocopy along with re- checking of answer scripts will not be given to any institution or school for display or any commercial purpose or to the print media and electronic media. Violation of this instruction will be liable for legal action, it added.
