Sherman Ali Ahmed remanded to judicial custody

GUWAHATI: The Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate here, on Thursday, remanded Sherman Ali Ahmed, legislator of Baghbar Constituency, to judicial custody. He was in Police custody after his arrest on Saturday.

He was arrested following an FIR (First Information Report) filed against him for making inflammatory statements on the martyrs of the historic Assam agitation against foreigners.
