Shraddhanjali for anti-CAA protest 'martyrs' on December 12

GUWAHATI: The All Guwahati Students' Union (AGSU) and the SilpiSamaj on December 12 will offer Shraddhanjali to the people who lost their lives in the anti-CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act) protests.

The tribute ceremony - Xo XorthoXuworon – will be held at the Hatigaon High School in coordination with residents of Hatigaon.

The victims - Sam Stafford, Dipanjal Das, Abdul Alim, IshwarNayak, and Dijendra Panging were killed in police firing during the anti-CAA agitation in December last year.

The tribute programme will start from 10:30 am during which all-religion prayer, protest meeting, naamprasanga, and earthen lamps will be lit to pay homage to the deceased soul.
