Guwahati: The CID (Crime Inspection Department) had apprehended one more accused, Jintu Nath who was absconding. Nath was arrested from his village in Changsari on charges of having connections in the question paper leak of the Assam Police SI examination.
The CID conducted a search along with the help of Changsari police station and arrested Nath from his house.
The SI recruitment exam was held on September 20. The infamous scam came to the limelight when the question paper was leaked on social media 15 minutes after the commencement of the exam.
Around 66,000 candidates sat for the examination.
The re-examination will be held on November 22 and the admits cards have been released for the test. Candidates can download the admit cards on slprbassam.in.
The timing for the examination is given as 12 pm to 2 pm.
A total of 25 arrests have been made in this case including some of the top Assam police officials like former DIG P K Dutta and SP Sanjit Krishna.
