SI Scam absconder Dhurbajyoti Baruah surrenders

GUWAHATI: Dhurbajyoti Baruah, who was absconding in SI Scam, surrendered before the Court of the Special Judge here on Monday.

According to reports, the CID has already declared Baruah as an absconder in the chargesheet as he was not available to cooperate in the investigation. Baruah appealed to the Court to release him on bail. However, his bail petition was rejected. He has been remanded to judicial custody. It is to be noted that Baruah is a resident of Kheroni, Karbi Anglong and was a broker in the SI Scam.
