State BJP president Ranjeet Kumar Dass submits memo to APDCL on power supply

GUWAHATI: State BJP president Ranjeet Kumar Dass has submitted a memorandum to the Assam Power Distribution Company Ltd (APDCL) urging the latter to overcome all hurdles, including natural disasters such as floods to ensure uninterrupted power supply to all households in rural areas. A press communiqué issued jointly by spokespersons of State unit of BJP Aparajita Bhuyan and Meghna Hazarika on Saturday stated that even Assam is committed to implement the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana and Saubhagya scheme to provide electricity to all rural households, many transformers, electric poles and other infrastructures have been damaged by floods.

Such damage has come in the way of providing electricity in rural areas. Bhuyan said the BJP has asked the APDCL to immediately repair all damaged infrastructures to provide electricity in all villages.
