GUWAHATI: A review meeting on the management of special training centres under the National Child Labour Project was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner Kalpana Deka at the meeting room of the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup (metro) district.

The meeting discussed the present status of the centres from the office-bearers of the NGOs in charge of the Special Training Centres under the National Child Labour Project being operated at various places in the district. The meeting also focused on weekly inspection of the rescued child labourers for the smooth conduct of the special training centres.

In the meeting it was decided that at the end of the ongoing academic year, the students of the special training centres would be admitted in formal schools in the new academic year after the conduct of the annual evaluation test.
