Stolen bus from Adabari area in Guwahati city recovered

GUWAHATI: A bus (AS01FC7426) was stolen from the Adabari area in the city on Tuesday. The bus owner filed a complaint at jalukbari Police Station.

Acting promptly, the police started tracking the stolen vehicle using GPS. The bus was traced in Jaluguti in the Morigaon district. With the help of the police of Jaluguti outpost, the bus was recovered. The bus's handyman Bijit Barman was arrested.

According to police sources, Barman had stolen the bus and was planning to sell it in Dimapur.
