Guwahati: Coming Diwali the main dome of Kamakhya Temple will all be made of gold. It will be all shiny and glitzy. 20 kg of pure gold would be used for the new look.

Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Reliance Industries, during his visit to the shrine in 2018, had said that he would want the main dome of the temple to be designed with gold and he would bear the expenses.

Ambani, the richest person in Asia with a net worth of 81.1 billion US dollar, and the 6th richest man in the world, had visited Kamakhya temple ahead of his daughter Isha's wedding to seek blessings from Goddess Kamakhya.

The Doloi of the temple said that the preliminary work of the temple has already been completed and the entire work will be completed by Diwali. According to him, the company has also taken the initiative of providing security on their behalf.

It is definitely going to be a bright Diwali this time at the Kamakhya temple.
