Three held for murder of youth in Bhangagarh

GUWAHATI: Bhangagarh Police, on Thursday, arrested three persons for the murder case of youth -- Bishal Roy -- at Bhangagarh on Wednesday night.

The three persons are Sahidur Rahman, Noor Alam (both from South Salmara), and Hazarat Ali from Dhubri.

Sources added that Bishal Roy -- a poultry seller by profession -- remained untraced since Wednesday evening. Later his body with tell-tale marks of cuts from sharp weapons was recovered. A case (607/21 U/s 120B/302/34 IPC) has been registered in this regard on Wednesday night. Following interrogation of the three arrested persons, the Police came to know that Sahidur Rahman had lent some money to Bishal Roy; and also that the latter was in debt.

Police suspect that delay in repaying the borrowed money might have led to the murder.
