Two bodies found under mysterious circumstances in Guwahati city

GUWAHATI: Two bodies were recovered on Wednesday under mysterious circumstances. In the first case, the body of a middle-aged man was recovered in an apartment in Rukminigaon during the morning hours. The body is identified as that of Jyotish Talukdar.

According to sources, the deceased was the caretaker of the apartment. The body was found in a drain inside the building. The reason for his death is yet to be known. Dispur police, after receiving information, have started an investigation. On the other hand, the carcass of a man was found in the Satgaon area. According to sources, the body was found in a sewer near Dalbari Bathou temple in Satgaon. The deceased is identified as Jiten Barua, a resident of Kailash Nagar in the Panjabari area. He was a retired employee of the defence forces' military engineering services (MES) department.
