Two bodies recovered from river Brahmaputra

GUWAHATI: The River Police recovered two bodies from the river Brahmaputra in the Jalukbari area on Wednesday. The deceased have been identified as Akash Das of Dibrugarh, and he had been missing since April 14. In the meantime, another 70-year-old woman's body was discovered floating in the evening. She is identified as Jaymoti Mahanta of Hajo in the Kamrup district. Both bodies were sent to Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) for postmortem by the River Police.
