Guwahati: In an attempt to keep the city clean, and ensure that city is garbage-free, the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has launched a new software on "Public Feedback Regarding Garbage Collection of NGOs." It was launched by Siddhartha Bhattacharya, the Guwahati Development Department (GDD) minister.

The public can regularly post their feedbacks about the NGO's garbage collection. They can place their feedbacks by visiting the following link: https://gmcassam.in/feedback/. This will further help in smooth monitoring of garbage collection in the city. Based on the feedback given by the public, an inquiry will be initiated.

In the meantime, a total of six contracts of NGOs have already been terminated based on the public's feedback about their performance. The new system will further help in keeping the city clean in a more efficient and effective way, as GMC will have more inputs coming directly from the residents of the city.
