Unidentified Dead Body Recovered In Guwahati's Dighalipukhuri

Guwahati: An unidentified body of a man was found floating at Dighalipukhuri in Guwahati on Monday morning.

According to reports, the passerby noticed the body and informed Pan Bazar police after which a police team reached the spot.

However, the identity of the body is yet to be ascertained and the body has been sent to Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for a post-mortem.

Notably, these days, it seems that the crime in the city has been increasing on a daily basis as each alternative day there is reports of such incidents.

On Sunday, too, a body of a woman was found in the washroom of GMCH.

The woman was identified as Ahshiya Khatun, 21-year-old and she had come to the hospital for the treatment of her child.

Meanwhile, the woman's mother has accused her husband Hadi Ali of being behind the death. She has alleged that Ali, who is Ashiya's second husband, had a fight with her on Saturday night inside the hospital complex.
