GUWAHATI: The Assam unit of National Students' Union of India (NSUI) successfully hosted a webinar on the "Role of Xattriya Dance and Music in Social Change of Assam" on the World Music Day on Sunday.

The Webinar was conducted by the well-known and young Xattriya Performer Borish Dutta as the guest of honour. Students from various educational institutions of Assam, including students from Dibrugarh University, Cotton University, Tezpur University and Gauhati University participated in the Webinar in large numbers. In a statement issued to the press NSUI Assam secretary Ananya Saikia said that the aim of the webinar was to disseminate the knowledge of Xattriya Dance and music to the Assamese youth while providing a systematic approach to the role of Xattriya culture in transforming the society of Assam.
