Windows for grievance redressal to set up in Income Tax offices in Assam

GUWAHATI: Windows for the purpose of grievance redressal are being set up in the Income Tax offices at the following stations under the jurisdiction of the Pr. Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, NER, Guwahati. The following phone numbers have been provided against every station –

Guwahati: 9401991223 [for CIT(TDS)] and 9401991829 (for PCIT, Guwahati); Jorhat (9401991357); Imphal (9401991902); Silchar (9401991334); Shillong (9436100843); Dibrugarh (8902199719).

All taxpayers who have filed CPGRAMS, e-nivaran and other grievances on the Income Tax portal, may avail of these windows for information of their grievances, every Wednesday, from 11.00 A.M. to 12.30 P.M. at the above stations, as long as the pandemic related lockdown/other restrictions are in place. Any eligible taxpayer, who is unable to reach the Income Tax Office due to COVID-related restrictions, can contact and narrate their problems at the numbers provided above, within the allotted time. Post lockdown, the window facility will be made available on all working days, a press note by the Income Tax office, NER, Guwahati stated.
