Workshop on ‘stress management’ held At Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Leo Club of Gauhati Girls, a youth wing of Lions Club of Gauhati registered under the Lions Clubs International District 322G, organized a personality development workshop on the topic “Stress Management”.

“Quest for Excellence – A personality development workshop” is a trainer-led course that focuses on various important topics. The topic for the first session was “Communication Skills and Self Motivation” while the second session focused on “Stress Management”. The session aimed to help individuals deal with stress.

The speaker for the workshop was Loya Agarwala, a renowned psychological counsellor and personality development consultant working in this field since the last 16 years. Agarwala has conducted training programs in various schools and colleges across India and has trained numerous individuals aspiring for careers in the aviation, hospitality, television and modelling sectors where presentation skills are essential.

“Stress is something that many of us do not realize we have in our minds but once we can recognize it, we can minimize its affects on our body and our life. This workshop was aimed at showing people how to instantly bring calm and peace to their lives. The workshop was very successfully conducted as the audience connected well with the concept of stress management and were also very interactive,” said Agarwala.

Speaking to the media, Lion Sudhir Choudhury, District Governor of Lions District 322G said, “The foresight of Leo Club of Gauhati Girls in understanding how a topic like stress management is relevant to the modern society is indeed very commendable. The programme was conducted with ease and the participants were very interested in what was being said. They were very attentive throughout the programme which made it a success.”
