Youth stabbed at Athgaon in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: A youth identified as Amrit Giri suffered severe injuries after he was stabbed by another youth — Jiaur Rahman at the Athgaon area here on Friday. A case has been registered in the Bharalumukh Police Station later during the day. Guru is under treatment in GMCH (Gauhati Medical College & Hospital)

Sources informed that Rahman surrendered before the Police. Subsequently, the Court sent him to judicial custody.

On Saturday, members of the 'Motor Parts Byabashayee Sanstha' staged a protest at the No. 4 Rail Gate, Athgaon. They also demanded punishment of the accused person.
