ITANAGAR: In order to examine the successful implementation of 50 Golden Jubilee Model Schools across the state, Arunachal Pradesh's Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein called a high-level review meeting on Sunday at his official residence in Itanagar.

The government provided the ambitious educational endeavour with a sizeable sum of Rs 500 crore at the meeting.

The State Cabinet initially decided to create these Golden Jubilee Model Schools during its historic Golden Jubilee Cabinet Meeting that was held in Ziro back in the year 2021.

The main goal of this effort is to raise the bar at 50 government schools and turn them into exceptional learning environments.

The Chief Engineer of Urban Development, the project's executing agency, has been told to start the necessary formalities right away by the Deputy Chief Minister in order to hasten the procedure.

The Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for the chosen Golden Jubilee Model Schools have been finished, according to the Chief Engineer of Urban Development, Naring Darang. This is in keeping with the government's objective. All of the government-specified criteria are included in the reports.

Concerns about the government schools' dismal performance in the Class X and Class XII Board Exams were brought up during the discussion.

The state's secondary and higher secondary school principals will meet to discuss this issue, according to plans released by education minister Taba Tedir.

This meeting's goal is to identify and address the problems that contributed to poor performance in the CBSE Board Examinations.

Representatives from high positions of government, including Principal Secretary of Finance Dr. Sharat Chauhan, Secretary of Finance, Planning and Investment R. K. Sharma, Director of Secondary Education Marken Kadu, and Director of Planning and Investment Pallab Deb, were present at the meeting.
