Woman arrested for owning machine to print fake notes

Guwahati: Chandmari police arrested a woman - Usha Barman - from her rented apartment in the Bamunimaidam area today for possessing a fake currency printing machine. The police seized fake notes amounting to Rs 21,500 from the woman, sources said.

The accused woman runs a beauty parlour near her apartment. The police registered a case under relevant sections against the woman at Chandmari police station.
