The COVID-19 has posed a severe threat to the economy of the country. To overcome this toughest period, on 12 May, 2020 Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned about economic package of 20 trillion under the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan' or 'Self-Reliant India Mission' which actually promotes local economy. One of the most effective and appreciable step was taken as most of the migrant workers had already lost their jobs and returned to their native places, and those who have lost their jobs and become jobless. As after returning, they are looking forward to work on their own, in that case the vision of Prime Minister of making India an independent nation is a praiseworthy step.

Along with this on July 17, 2020 Government of India announced about developing five portals by different organizations which will bring the change for nation and also it will boost Atmanirbhar Bharat. The portals being developed are for specific sectors and are mainly BHEL for power sector, CMFTI for manufacturing sector, HMT for machine tools, ICAT and ARAI for automotive sector. The portals were launched to bring the problem solvers and solution seekers to bring in one frame together. The portal will focus on academia, industry, research institute, start-ups and experts. As the economy of India is crippled by corona pandemic, it's a commendable step by the government.
