Perfect rebuttal

So, at last, the no confidence motion initiated by Congress on August 8 in the Lower house was rejected by voice vote. Interestingly, instead of Rahul Gandhi, our Gaurav Gogoi, MP from Kaliabor, started the debate on behalf of Congress on the Manipur issue with vigour, accusing the BJP of its failure to control the ongoing Manipur inferno. All throughout his speech, he was found to be very articulative in his tirade against Prime Minister Modi, drawing loud cheers from Congress. Then came the counterattack by the BJP under the Assam Chief Minister. In a largely attended press conference in Dispur, Himanta Biswa Sarma, in his usual style, rebutted with facts and figures all the allegations made by Gaurav Gogoi meticulously, starting from Nehru’s message to Asomiyas when Bomdila fell to the Chinese when Nehru said, “My heart goes to the people of Assam”. The stepmotherly attitude of the then Congress government was also narrated by the CM when he mentioned that both Gopinath Bordoloi and Bhupen Hazarika were posthumously awarded the Bharat Ratna by the BJP government.

The anti-people government formed by Congress at Dispur in 1983 with Bangladeshi votes was also reminded by our CM to Gaurav Gogoi, who might not be aware of these facts as he was not brought up in Assam. May I request Gaurav to do some homework about Assam’s history and culture before speaking anything about Assam and the North East in the future on any platform.

One wonders

According to a report, almost two million graduates and half a million postgraduates are unemployed in India. Around 47 per cent of graduates in India are not suitable for any kind of industry role. Above all, the level of educated unemployment in India increases with higher education. Engineers, Ph.D. holders, and MBAs among job aspirants are jobless. What is the future of such highly educated professionals and dignitaries? The unemployment scene is obvious in the country.
