Guwahati: The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has issued a notification that states that the special examination of the Higher Secondary students will be conducted from October 1 to November 11. It also said that the question papers will be distributed among the students 15 minutes before the start of the examination.
In addition, the state government has asked the AHSEC to conduct the examination keeping in view the Covid-19 protocols and guidelines set by the health department.
The students who were not satisfied with their result after the AHSEC declared their ages result without conducting the examination will be appearing for the special examination. It is to be mention that the government had decided not to conduct this years examination due to COVID-19 pandemic.
The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) had also made some new changes in the admission process of students into the various courses of different educational institutions in the current academic session.
In a notification dated September 10, 2021, issued by the Secretary of AHSEC, Bamunimaidam said, "In continuation of the earlier notification No. AHSEC/R&A/ADMN/2020/03/6563 dated 10/08/2021, the following arrangements have been made In the greater interest of students:
"In the interest of the students who have not been selected for admission in any of the institutions in which they had applied or the students who have not yet been applied for admission, the 'DARPAN' admission portal will be reopened from September 20, 2021, to 22 September 2021 for them for submission of fresh application through the portal by visiting www.darpan.ahs econline.in or www.ahsec.assam.gov.in for admission in those institutions where vacancy is available.
"The Selection List and Waiting List for admission into HS First year will be prepared by the institutions concerned from 23 September 2021 to 24 September 2021. After the preparation of Selection List and Waiting List by the institutions, AHSEC will make available the Selection List and Waiting List through the portal (www.darpan.ahseconline.in) for the students at 11 am of 25 September, 2021. Further, candidates will receive a notification of their selection through SMS.
"The institutions concerned will complete the admission process within September 27, 2021 to September 28, 2021. All the institutions will have to accept the admission in the portal using Institution Login ID on a daily basis during the admission process.
"Candidates will be able to change their preferred subject(s) at the time of admission; and the institution concerned will have to update the same in the portal on the day of admission."
