New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has given relief to those students who are about to participate in international or national sports events.

The students participating in any such events they will sit for the CBSE Term 1 Board Exams 2022 later, according to CBSE board.

"To promote the spirit of sports in the country and for facilitating the participation of students in international Olympiads, CBSE had decided that in case of the students appearing in the Board's Examination are participating in National/International sports events recognized by Sports Authority of India and International Olympiads, the examinations for such students will be conducted at a later stage by CBSE,'' CBSE said in a statement.

Meanwhile, the board has come up with a set of instructions for all its affiliated schools which the later expects to be strictly followed.

Since, the board has decided to conduct examination for the session 2021-22 in two terms i.e. Term 1 and 2, no separate /special examination will be conducted for term 1 session.

The results of the students will be declared based on term 2 examination, if their dates are coinciding with the board exams due to sports events.

The board has also come up with the set of instructions for preparing results based on the term 2 examinations.

The Students will have to produce a letter to the board from Sports Authority of India (SAI) in case if they are participating in national, international sports event.

If students are participating in international Olympiads duly recognized by Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education, they too need to produce a letter issued by SAI.

Concerned schools need to send such requests from the students to the board by November 25, 2021.

Following such information, the regional offices will ensure the genuineness of requests and will also send confirmation to the schools. Later, the data of all such cases like roll number and other details will be maintained by the regional offices for updation in term 1 result.

Students will also need to produce tests reports and recommendation from a registered medical practitioner, if they have test positive for COVID-19. As per the board, the details of such cases need to send to the concerned Regional Office by the schools with the recommendation SAI and Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education.
