Master of Computer Applications, shortly referred to as MCA, is a post-graduate level professional course that involves both theoretical and practical knowledge of computer application development. This course provides an opportunity to learn a modern programming language. The joint MCA entrance examination, commonly known as Assam JMEE, is a state-level entrance examination conducted by the Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU).

What is Assam JMEE 2021?

Through this examination, admission is offered in MCA courses in various government and private institutes of Assam. Every year thousands of graduate students participate in this entrance examination to pursue their dream of becoming a computer program developer. JMEE 2021 is expected to be conducted in August 2021. The application process for Assam JMEE 2021 will begin in June 2021. However, no notifications regarding the final date of JMEE 2021 have been released yet by the ASTU.

  4. For reserved category candidates, the minimum mark is 45%.
  5. Candidates who are appearing in their final examination can also apply. He/she needs to provide the final mark sheet/ certificate of qualifying examination within 2 months of taking admission failing to which the admission of the candidate shall automatically stand canceled.

Ans: There are total 420 seats. If you are a General category and your rank is within 400 then it would be possible to grab a core branch. For other non-core branch, 600 is the maximum. For OBC, 15% is reserved for them. If you are SC and your rank is within 950, then the chances of getting the seat would be much higher. In case of ST, chances would be there in case your rank is within 1300. But in order to be on a safer side, it is important to get a rank within 500 or score around 170+.
