MUMBAI: On the first anniversary of the blockbuster Bollywood film 'Brahmastra', director Ayan Mukerji has unveiled thrilling updates about the highly-anticipated sequels, 'Brahmastra 2 and 3'. This revelation comes as a celebratory treat for fans, shedding light on the burgeoning Astraverse and Mukerji's creative vision.

Mukerji took to social media to offer fans a glimpse behind the scenes of the 'Brahmastra' universe. He shared early concept art from the development of 'Brahmastra 2' and teased, "BRAHMÄ€STRA - PART TWO: DEV Early Concept Art Work. Has been a few months of working steadily on the Vision and Story for Brahmāstra 2 & 3! On this special day for Team Brahmāstra, felt like sharing a few key images of our Inspiration."

Adding to the excitement, he posted a video, expressing gratitude to 'Brahmastra' for the creative journey it initiated. Mukerji wrote, "Happy 1st Birthday, Brahmāstra! Thank you for all the Creativity, all the HardWork, and for all the Lessons in Film-making, and in Life! P.S.: Will share some early artwork from the next stage of the Brahmāstra journey in a bit!"

The official announcement of 'Brahmastra 2 and 3' came in April 2023, with Mukerji revealing his grand vision for the sequels. He hinted at a more extensive and ambitious narrative than the first installment, emphasizing the need for perfection in the script. Excitingly, Mukerji revealed that 'Brahmastra 2 and 3' will be made simultaneously, with plans for a closer release schedule.

Moreover, Mukerji teased another secret project, stating, "The Universe has presented me with a very special opportunity recently - a very special movie - to step into and direct! What the movie is, more on that when the time is right :)."

'Brahmastra' originally featured an ensemble cast, including Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor in leading roles. The film also showcased cameos by Shah Rukh Khan and Nagarjun, with Mouni Roy portraying the antagonist.
