MUMBAI: Bill Gates, a multibillionaire philanthropist who is presently in India on business, met YouTube star Prajakta Koli on Wednesday.
The 29-year-old, who runs the 7.5 million-follower "MostlySane" social media account, announced on Instagram that she will shortly discuss her conversation with Gates on her YouTube series, "Real Talk Tuesday."
"And it's always lovely to see the Gates Foundation goalie," the 67-year-old commented in a swift reply to the woman's Instagram Story.
Koli has been a part of the Gates Foundation advisory council since 2022.
The topics of conversation between the two were unknown, although Gates's agenda for this year's visit included hunger, health, and climate change.
On his visit to India this week, the tech tycoon met with a number of notable individuals, including Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Health Minister, and Anand Mahindra, the chairman of the Mahindra Group.
The co-chair of the William and Melinda Gates Foundation is visiting India for the first time since the COVID outbreak.
The actress is recognised for her work in the Anil and Neetu Kapoor-starring film "Jug Jug Jeeyo" as well as the youth drama series "Mismatched."
The YouTuber caused a stir in January at the Davos Global Economic Forum. India's representative to the WEF annual meeting will be Mumbai-based Koli. The delegation from this year has the most social media influencers.
Famous digital artists were chosen by the organising committee from all across the world.
Famous YouTube talents including Nuseir Yassin as Nas Daily from Israel, Adanna Steinacker as House of Adanna from Nigeria, Luis Villar as Luisito Comunica from Mexico, Nathalia Arcuri as Me Poupe from Brazil, and Wodemaya from Ghana also attended the WEF meeting in addition to Koli.
At Comic Con India in Mumbai last month, Koli spoke alongside Mithila Palkar and Yashaswini Dayama about "Women in Audio."
Koli is also anticipated to join the Marvel Universe. She will contribute her voice to the brand-new Marvel's Wastelanders Hindi audio podcast. Koli will perform the role of Hawkeye's estranged daughter in the podcast.
In "Marvel's Wastelanders," Jaideep Ahlawat will bring Hawkeye's character to life as the Avengers' lone survivor.
