Mumbai: Bollywood star Salman Khan on Friday was spotted at a vaccination centre in Mumbai, where he received the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine. He got the second jab on the auspicious occasion of Eid.

He tweeted, "Took my first dose of vaccine today....(sic). Took my first dose of vaccine today."
As India is currently experiencing a rising number of COVID-19 cases day after day, celebrities are trying to raise awareness about staying safe and getting vaccinated. Salman was among the first celebrities to get the vaccine back in March. Now, he has received the second dose.

Just like Salman, many Bollywood celebrities have taken the COVID-19 shot. These include Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Malaika Arora, Arshad Warsi, Dharmendra, Vivek Oberoi, Rohit Shetty, Sonu Sood, Anil Kapoor, and Sanjay Dutt, among others.
On Thursday, Indian Wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant said that he has got his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Pant urged people to get the vaccine whenever they are eligible. "Got my first jab today. When you are eligible, please step up and get the vaccine. The sooner we do it, the sooner we can beat this Virus," Pant tweeted.
Bollywood actress Konkona Sen Sharma, too, on Tuesday said that she has taken the first vaccine for COVID-19.
"After playing vaccine vaccine for a few days we finally got jabbed! Got my first shot of Covaxin today! It is, after all, possible to get a slot from the CoWin site," wrote Konkona, along with a string of pictures she shared on Instagram from the vaccine centre.
