The victory of India in the 1983 Cricket World Cup made the game a religion for many across the country. Kabir Khan has beautifully depicted the strong-minded cricketer from Haryana and his team in 160 minutes film. 83 along with Kapil Dev's iconic catch also shows the entire 2 weeks of the 1983 match including the swing bowling spell of MohinderAmarnath and dismissal of Viv Richards in the final match.

Something that brought more light to the film is the emotional and personal journey of each and every member of the Indian team. The scenes touched the audience's heart and can lead anyone to cry out of emotion attached to the match in 1983. In the initial part of the film, Kabir Khan shows that India is not capable of winning the match which turned differently by the end.

The screenplay presented was very simple that takes away to an unexpected and thrilling outcome. Ranveer Singh stands out in the film as Dev from his dialogue delivery to convincing accent everything is commendable.

The confidence of Ranveer Singh while playing Dev and entering deeply into the character gives the career-best performance of his life. Other casts like PR Man Singh and Pankaj Tripathi also impressed viewers with some of the best lines in the film.
