Adipurush Controversy: Actor Mukesh Khanna Seeks Extreme Punishment for Adipurush Team

MUMBAI: Mukesh Khanna, who starred in Shaktiman, has attacked the whole Adipurush cast, including Prabhas and Kriti Sanon. Khanna also expressed his dissatisfaction with the film's language and costumes. The actor was seen angrily denouncing the film, written and directed by Om Raut, in a YouTube video. Despite grossing over Rs 375 crore, the film has received mixed reviews from reviewers and audiences alike.

Reacting to the controversy of the Film Adipurush, Mukesh Khanna said that “They should not be pardoned. I suggested on my channel yesterday that this entire team should be burned standing at fifty degrees.”

Khanna expressed his dissatisfaction with Shiva's blessing on Ravan being substituted by Ravan receiving blessing from Brahma, much like the demon ruler Hiranyakashyap (whose lifetime predated Ram and Ravan in Hindu mythology).

Khanna demanded that Om Raut and dialogue writer Manoj Muntashir be burned since he believed they hadn't even read the Ramayana.

He further said “I expected them to cover their faces after all of this, but they are stepping forward and explaining everything. They claim that we are creating it for Sanatan Dharma. Is your Sanatan Dharma distinct from ours? They said that there was a Valmiki ji version, a Tulsidas ji version, and this is our version.”

Adipurush was probably one of the year's most anticipated flicks. Fans have been anticipating the film's release with bated breath since its announcement. In fact, even before the trailer was released, the picture generated a lot of buzz for its visual effects. However, since the film's debut, there has been much controversy concerning the dialogue, inadequate VFX, and other issues. Many well-known people have spoken out against the makers of Adipurush and the film.

Sunil Lahri, who played Laxman in Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan, had previously attacked Saif Ali Khan and compared his haircut in the film to Virat Kohli's. He even noted the faults committed by the designers in Adipurush.
