Atrangi Re Movie Review: An Intriguing Narrative of Sara, Akshay and Dhanush Love Triangle

The much-awaited musical romantic drama 'Atrangi Re' directed by Aanand L. Rai has been released on Friday 24 December. The film stars Sara Ali Khan, Dhanush and Akshay Kumar in the lead roles.

Atrangi Re is produced by Cape of Good Film, Colour Yellow Productions and T Series. Galatta Kalyanam is the Tamil dubbed version of the film. IMDb rating of Atrangi Re is 7.5 out of 10.

Apart from the lead cast Dhanush, Sara and Akshay other important cast members of the film include Dimple Hayathi, Seema Biswas and Ashish Verma. The film is streaming on the OTT platform of Disney+ Hotstar.

The story of the film revolves around the love story of Sara Ali Khan with Akshay and Dhanush. Sara Ali Khan in the film appears in the role of Rinku who is an orphan from Bihar. Rinku is forced to get married to Dr. S Vishwanath Iyer, the character played by Dhanush. Dr. S Vishwanath Iyer is a Tamilian from Chennai who visits Rinku's hometown.

Actress Dimple Hayathi appears as the girlfriend of Vishnu named Mandakini who is expected to get engaged with her boyfriend. Akshay Kumar played the role of Sajjad Ali Khan who is a magician and Rinku seems to develop an interest in him. Rinku fled away from her home getting frustrated by all the circumstances that may lead to her forceful marriage.

Sara as the Chaka Chak girl gave the best performance in the film as a character who is rustic and not perfect. Akshay as usual made the film a lot more engaging through his romantic comedy scenes. Film director Aanand L. Rai tried his best that the presence of Akshay doesn't overshadow the performance of Sara and Dhanush.

The acting of Dhanush is commendable as the actor stands out and won millions of fans being charming in all the way giving the best emotional shots. The narrative of the film feels disappointing by the end of the movie but the concept attracts the attention of the viewers. Music in the film by A.R Rahman adds more soul as it successfully kept the audience engaged.
