Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui Movie Review: The Trans Love Story Becomes Instant Fans Favourite

The much-awaited romantic drama film directed by Abhishek Kapoor starring Ayushman Khurana and Vaani Kapoor in lead roles has now been released on Friday 10 December.

The film is produced by T-Series and Guy in the Sky Pictures and written by Abhishek Kapoor along with Supratik Sen and Tushar Paranjpe. The IMDb rating of the film is 7.1 out of 10.

Apart from Ayushman and Vaani other cast members in the film includes Karishma Singh, Sawan Rupowali, Tanya Abrol and Kanwanjit Singh.

REVIEW: The story of the Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui shows a very unique and special concept of love where the hero played by Ayushman Khurana falls madly in love with a transgender woman whose role is played by actress Vaani Kapoor. Unaware about the gender of his lover Ayushman who appeared as Manu dreams about their future and does he that he can in love.

Manu is a bodybuilder who is much conscious about his fitness as he is preparing himself for competition in 'Gabru of All Time' but he is seen tense as his gym suffers losses. Vaani as a Zumba trainer then makes her entry into the gym as Maanvi and her entry brings hope for Manu because her Zumba techniques attract a lot of people into the gym. Manu then starts earning a lot of profit from his gym.

Manu was forced by his family members to get married soon to a girl from the same class. After the constant interaction with Maanvi in the gym, Manu falls in love with her and shared a romantic relationship for a long. Everything after that goes well in the story until the revelation of Maanvi's gender.

The twist arrives when Maanvi discloses the fact that she is a transgender woman. Manu gets highly shocked to learn such a strange truth about his girlfriend who he thought was a female but he accepted Maanvi later. The rest of the scenes in the film shows how both lovers struggle to get together in their relationship by accepting the transgender fact of Maanvi.

Through the film, something that stands out the most is the chemistry between Ayushman and Vaani in such a concept of love which is gaining much attention and attention from the audience.
