3. Ghulam Haider gave her the first break: Lataji got her first break from Bollywood famous film composer Ghulam Haider who later after partition moved to Lahore of Pakistan. Haider offered Lata to sing the song 'Dil Mera Toda' in 1948 for the film Majboor.
