MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor had recently shared about his uncle Randhir Kapoor's health condition claiming that he is suffering from Dementia- a mental illness caused by brain disease.
But now actor and director Randhir Kapoor has spoken out over the matter and clarified that he is perfectly fine and has no such disease.
He was then questioned on why Ranbir Kapoor had made a false remark like this that he is suffering from a mental condition.
On this, Randhir replied as 'Ranbir ki marzi which means that Ranbir is entitled to what he says. He added 'Aisa kuch nehi hua' not at all.
On speaking with the media, Randhir made it clear that he is doing well and had COVID-19 symptoms a few days ago but nothing like Dementia.
The 75 years old actor further added that recently he was in Goa along with filmmaker Rahul Rawail for some work.
Meanwhile, actor Ranbir Kapoor has been actively promoting the recent film 'Sharmaji Namkeen' starring his late father Rishi Kapoor who died during the filming of the movie.
He made the remark about his uncle Randhir's health condition while promoting the film by showing concern for his uncle.
The Brahmastra star stated that Randhir Kapoor is in the early stages of Dementia. He also shared that after the film, Randhir came to him and on asking about Rishi Kapoor he said "Tell dad that he is amazing' and where he is let's call him."
Actor Rishi Kapoor passed away while shooting and the filming of 'Sharmaji Namkeen' remain incomplete which was later helped to get completed by Paresh Rawal who agreed to play one character.
It may be mentioned that Sharmaji Namkeen directed by Hitesh Bhatia starring Rishi Kapoor in lead has been released on Thursday 31st March.
The film cast also includes Juhi Chawla, Isha Talwar and Sheeba Chadha in important roles.
