MUMBAI: Dilip Joshi is a very well-known face in the television industry as he has been constantly appearing in the role of Jethalal in the Sony TV show TMKOC (Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah) since the year 2008.

The comedy show has been aired on TV for 13 long years and gained much love from the audience becoming one of the most-watched TV serials. The faces of the show have changed many times by replacing the older ones but Dilip Joshi is working with the show since its beginning as an integral part of the role of Jethalal Champaklal Gada.

In a recent interview, actor Dilip Joshi shared about his upcoming plans and present work. He said that due to his current commitments with the television show he is not able to work with other projects. Joshi expresses his desire to be a part of the Indian film industry as according to him movies these days have great content.

He further said that the show he is presently working with i.e. TMKOC is a comedy show and it's fun being a part of it therefore till the time he keeps enjoying it he will be doing the show. The moment his excitement ends and he stops enjoying working with the show he will be moving on said the actor.

The actor added that he gets offers from different television shows but he feels that his current work is doing better so there is no reason to quit the show for something else. He says the journey with the show is beautiful and he is happy with it as people show much love over 'Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' so why would he ruin it without any reason.

Dilip opened up regarding his view over movies nowadays as he said that he had many more to do in his career of acting as the whole life is still left. He added that films these days consist of amazing content so he would never leave the opportunity to work in a good film role in case he is offered.

Earlier the long-running show TMKOC suffered a major setback when the lead character Dayaben played by Disha Vakani left the show due to her pregnancy but soon the show again became the most loved show.

56 years old Indian TV actor Dilip Joshi was born on 26 May 1968 in Porbandar. Joshi tied the knot with Jaymala Joshi and had two children, a son named Ritwik Joshi and a daughter named Neeyati Joshi. The net worth of Joshi is 5 million dollars i.e. around Rupees 37 crores.
