NEW DELHI: In a groundbreaking achievement, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) scripted history with the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the Moon's South Pole. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, currently attending the BRICS Summit in South Africa, conveyed his pride and hailed it as a new era for India.

The momentous event drew admiration from not only the Prime Minister but also notable Bollywood celebrities. Kareena Kapoor took to Instagram to express her awe, Shah Rukh Khan celebrated with poetic words, Ananya Panday summed it up in three words, and Abhishek Bachchan conveyed his elation beyond language. Their sentiments captured the nation's excitement for India's lunar prowess.

Kapoor and Bachchan are the latest from Bollywood to join the moon fervor that has gripped the nation for over a month, as Chandrayaan-3's landing, scheduled for 6:04 PM, loomed. The mission's success would make India the fourth nation to softly land a rover on the Moon.

R. Madhavan, known for his debut directorial 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect,' lauded ISRO's accomplishment and expressed confidence in Chandrayaan-3's triumph. He highlighted scientist Nambi Narayanan's role and the crucial contribution of the Vikas Engine.

Global icon John Cena surprised fans by sharing the Indian national flag on Instagram, without any caption, symbolizing his appreciation for the achievement. Bollywood couple Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza also celebrated the achievement and stood firmly behind their nation.

Filmmaker Rishabh Shetty joined the celebration by sharing images of Chandrayaan-3 from the Moon's perspective, reflecting his delight and prayers for the Vikram Lander's safe landing. Shekhar Kapur's tweet encapsulated the nation's feelings, expressing hope for Chandrayaan-3's success and acknowledging the audacity of venturing 250,000 km away for a lunar landing.

Chandrayaan-3 consists of the Vikram lander and Pragyan rover, mirroring the components of Chandrayaan-2. A propulsion module, functioning as an orbiter, transported the lander and rover to a lunar orbit measuring 153 × 163 km.

As the anticipation builds for Chandrayaan-3's historic landing, the world watches in admiration. Inspired by Bollywood celebrities and global icons, the achievement marks a remarkable stride in India's extraordinary journey through space exploration.
