Will Smith Slaps Chris Rock On Oscars Stage – Know Why?

New Delhi: In a shocking incident captured during the 94th Academy Awards, American actor and rapper Will Smith slapped comedian Chris Rock on stage on Sunday night.

This unscripted behavior of the actor has shocked the audience as well as the celebs participating in the major music event.

The whole auditorium of Dolby Theatre went silent for a few seconds after the actor smashed the comedian amid the ongoing award ceremony.

Chris Rock took the stage to present the best documentary award and by that time he joked about Will's wife actress Jada Pinkett Smith.

The actor hearing the joke started laughing at first but then when Jada was seen rolling her eyes, Will went on stage and slapped the comedian for his joke.

Rock said in his joke, "Javier Bardem and his wife are both nominated. Now, if she loses, he can't win, He is praying that Will Smith wins, like, please, lord. Jada, I love you. 'G.I. Jane 2,' can't wait to see it, all right?

In the joke, the comedian compared the tightly cropped hair of Jada with the appearance of Demi Moore in the movie titled G.I. Jane 2.

After the actor hit Rock, he return to his seat and shouted 'Keep my wife's name out of your (expletive) mouth. The voice of Will came out loud in the show though there was no mic on him.

Earlier, Jada had shared about being diagnosed with a hair loss condition called alopecia and also spoken about her struggle in dealing with and living with the disease.

The condition is an autoimmune disorder that impacts hair follicles leading to both hair loss and bald spots.

In 2018, the actress has first opened up about her signs of systemic disease and since then often shared on social media about her challenges associated with it.

Later, Jada decided to cut her hair short as she saw that handfuls of hair are coming out during her shower. She said that the moment she saw the hairs come out in the shower she was literally shaking in fear so she cut her hair.
