Konda Polam Film Review; An Inspirational and Unique Story but Uninspiring as Well

The movie Konda Polam directed by Krish is a very simple and passionate story of a man with his life full of struggle as he belongs to a left out community. It is a two-hour film where Vaishnav Tej and Rakul Preet Singh are the lead characters.

The movie has been released on 8 October in theatres with an audience rating summary of 4.3. The play Konda Polam shows the main character Ravindra as a youngster whose role is played by Vaishnav Tej with his fair performance and his journey in getting a job is the main theme around the movie. The movie is inspired by a book written by Sannapureddy Venkata Ramireddy with a similar name but some changes in the characters. Krish tried his best to transform the story thoroughly from a novel into a visual form.

Ravindra a man who fights tigers and grazing sheep have a lack of good communication skills and low confidence because of which he suffers a lot in getting a well-settled professional life. The initial part of the movie starts with the challenges surpassed by Ravindra as he lives in a place far away from the city in between the forests and without books but it is inspiring that he comes out of that way of life and overcomes all his fear to achieve success. He then after a lot of hard work finally gets a job and succeeds in his life but the role he played is assumed to receive empathy which actually doesn't happen. Ravindra was someone who was the only person from their village who has thought and struggled a lot for getting a job in MNC.

The director Krish has not worked really hard to express in deep the challenges and obstacles faced by the main character in the movie, therefore, fails to gain much sympathy though it shows the scenes where he fails to qualify in many interviews. The director could have done much to visualize on-screen the fascinating lifestyle of the community as per the locations shown in the movie. Singer MM Keeravani provides beautiful background music in the movie by making it engaging for the audience. Numerous shots have been explored through the setting of the film and it largely provides the visual of the forests by the well-known cinematographer Gnana Shekar. The movie to a great extend becomes uninspiring because of some of the music added which fails to justify the story.
