The official trailer of the upcoming dark comedy movie 'Don't Look Up' directed and written by Adam McKay has been released by Netflix on Tuesday 16 November. The movie is scheduled to release in theatres selectively on 10 December and will be premiered on Netflix on 24 December. The estimated budget of the film by Academy Award Winner director McKay is 7.5 crores USD.
The upcoming film Don't Look Up casts popular star Leonardo DiCaprio, Rob Morgan and Jennifer Lawrence in the lead roles and others cast includes Ariana Grande, Chris Evans, Timothee Chalameth, Johan Hill, Scott Mescudi (a.k.a Kid Cudi), Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett, and Tyler Perry
The trailer shows that the story of the movie revolves around Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio one astronomy student and another as a professor. Leonardo DiCaprio appears as a professor named Dr, Randall Mindy who teaches astronomy students while Jennifer Lawrence appears as one student among those. She played the character named Kate Dibiasky who is much associated with the course which is a direct collision course with the earth but no one actually cares about the concept of the course.
The film shows satirical indifference among political leaders and the general public towards the upcoming judgment day. Two of the astronomers run pillar to aware the people regarding the one problem that the asteroid is on a crash course with the planet earth but people doesn't seem to give any interest in the matter which becomes another great problem.
The film as a whole intended to explain the lack of concern and interest of the world's population towards climate change. The trailer gives a glimpse of how science and its cause get defeated by self-obsessed consumer culture.
